The Patchouli’s origin
An icon of the Flower Power period, patchouli was initially used to protect noble fabrics from India and Indonesia. Indeed, it was used to fight against moths attacks during the long boat trips to reach Europe in the nineteenth century.
This wood and camphor scent will then become a seduction symbol. It will also be taken up again by the 1960s – 70s hippies advocating sexual liberalization. An intoxicating and sensual carnal caress, this fragrance embodies femininity and the desire to escape through its sweet and intense scents.
Our Eau de Parfum seen by Les Parfums d’Uzège
Our eau de toilette patchouli being the emblem of Les Parfums d’Uzège, we decided to move upmarket. Therefore, we offer you this reference in a more concentrated eau de parfum. Our eau de parfum is created with natural patchouli. Our patchouli is a fragrance for both women and men.
The original top note consists of red mandarin, celery and davana. Mandarin means carelessness. It is delicate, sparkling, and fresh. The celery, still little sought-after in perfumery, brings its originality with deep and warm notes.
Subsequently, the heart note is revealed with our sensual and exotic patchouli. It is the intoxicating scent of life. It promotes decision-making. The heavy and complex scent of earth gives strength. Also, cedar wood brings its woody essence, one of the oldest that helps keeping lucidity and balance, enough to strengthen the mind.
And finally, the extension of this perfume consists in a musky and powdery base note. The white musk remarkably fix this composition. In addition, the sweet and warm vanilla combines perfectly with the skin. And finally, the tonka bean brings a ray of sunshine to this fragrance.
